The Cleasby-Vigfusson dictionary s.v. <haf> p. 228 gives the adjective <hafreka> "wrecked, tossed about" from 1347 and the participle <hafrekinn> "shipwrecked" from Lárentíus saga biskups, written in the third quarter of the fourteenth century, describing the life of Icelandic bishop Laurentius Kálfsson, thus covering the period 1267–1331.
