December 2012 Cover Letter: Complicated Orles and Annulets[edit | edit source]

From Wreath Orles charged with orles or tressures will not be registered after the June 2013 decision meeting without evidence of period practice. http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2012/12/12-12cl.html

September 1989 LoAR: tressure of Scotland[edit | edit source]

Mirielda Grey. Device. Gules, on a rose argent, barbed vert, within an orle flory Or, a heart gules. The use of the orle fleury here, particularly given the Or and gules tinctures used, is far too close to the reserved tressure of Scotland. Taken with the white rose motif, there is a distinct problem. http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/1989/09/lar.html
