December 2000 - entwined charges maintained:[edit | edit source]
[A sword inverted argent, entwined overall by a rose purpure, slipped and leaved vert] As drawn, the rose is barely overall. This kind of overall charge has been disallowed for some time. If drawn with a standard entwined rose, it is in conflict with Barbara Fitzhugh de Brandhard, Azure, a sword inverted proper entwined widdershins of a poppy proper. Traditionally, entwined charges are treated like maintained charges unless both charges have equal visual weight. Therefore there is not a CD for the change to the flower.
