P 645 - Johan Stefansson known 1358 and probably his brother Lars Stefansson	pg 667 bottom - Sone Jönsson, known 1483-74 district chief	Pg 667 top B - Axel Lagesen "in Nybölle" known 1445-56 that is associated with the arms labeled B. He may be the same as the Axel Lavessen from the next item.	Pg 667 top A - Lave Jensens kin

pg 654 - this particular one - Anders Mikaelsson
ca 1400 to 1499. His seal was found ca 1860 in Lödöse where he likely lived but nothing is known of his family.	pg 655 - this particular one - Håkan N.N. m.fl.
The arms belong to a Håkan with an unknown patronimic. Gravestone isn't dated but arms indicate up to 1450. There is a Håkan known in Habo Parish from 1339 but it is unknown if he is identical with this Håkan. Raneke cites Wie saying that Karin Pedersdtr bore these arms but where and when she lived is unknown.	Pg 657 this particular one - Hässelholmsätten (ätten = kin)
associated with Torbern Laurisen known 1492-1501	pg 666 - this particular one - Lars Ragvaldsson
Name comes from a seal. There are 4 people that bore that name. The only one they can find information on is Laurens Ragwaldi known 1440-74 cannon

January 2015: heart vs. seeblatt, Overturn of November 2004 ruling

As of the January 2015 LoAR, there is a DC between a heart and a seeblatt: "Hearts and seeblätter have not been shown to be artistic variants in period. Both charges were used in period heraldry but, as far as we know, they were not used interchangeably. Therefore, following our current standards, there is Distinct Change (DC) between the two types of charge. At the same time, a seeblatt must be recognizably a seeblatt: identifiability must be preserved, and having too small a cut-out will be grounds for return for blurring the distinction between the charges." October 2014 - maple vs. lady's mantle leaves:

#161Cassandra Hardwick. Name and device. Gules, a lady's mantle leaf argent. In commentary, Goutte d'Eau documented both elements to the same year in the same town, making this an excellent late period English name! This submission is clear of conflict with the protected important non-SCA badge for Canada (Tinctureless) A maple leaf. There is a DC for the change from a tinctureless to a tinctured design and another DC for the difference between a maple leaf and a lady's mantle leaf. http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2014/10/14-10lar.html#161

March 2013 - lobed vs. unlobed:

#120Isylte Aron. Device. Per pale sable and vert, three elm leaves conjoined in annulo Or. Blazoned on the Letter of Intent as hawthorne leaves//, these leaves have a serrated edge but no lobes. The common hawthorn has lobes, but other species of hawthorn may or may not have lobes. These leaves more closely resemble nettle or elm leaves. As nettle leaves may be confused with the heraldic //nesselblatt//, we have chosen to reblazon this as //elm leaves. This device is not in conflict with the badge of Avine de Hert, (Fieldless) Three oak leaves conjoined in annulo Or. August 2009 LoAR - oak vs holly:

"Prior Laurel precedent (December 1993 LoAR, p. 12) does not grant a CD between oak leaves and holly leaves." [2009 LoAR]

March 2001 LoAR - blackthorn vs oak:

[an ivy leaf vert] This is clear of ... On a blackthorn leaf vert an increscent argent, and ... On an oak leaf vert a hand argent. In each case there is a CD for fieldlessness and the shape of the leaves is significantly different enough for there to be a second CD.
