September 2015 - Badge for the Order of Defense[edit | edit source]
In April of 2015 we asked whether the use of the badge for the Order of Defense, (Tinctureless) Three rapiers in pall inverted tips crossed should be restricted and protected. The answers we received to both questions was overwhelmingly positive. Therefore, the badge for the Order of Defense will be both restricted and protected. This means that members of the Order of Defense, and only them, will be allowed to register this motif in armorial display. Of course, armorial designs currently registered and using that design are grandfathered. http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/2015/09/15-09cl.html#2
