Glossary of Terms: Linguistic Variants[edit | edit source]

Different spellings or pronunciations of the same word. Spelling was not fixed during the period studied by the Society, and often changed over time, so a single word may have several variant forms. To be registered, variants must be documented as plausible following the guidelines in the Rules for Submission Part II. [now replaced by SENA] [[1]]
